Did you miss it?

You know....the Fall River Outing? Passing along a few rumors from Andy who says that although he has been fishing the Fall for over thirty-years [yes that is 3-0 years], he has never seen rain to the extent experienced during the TVTU outing this year! Heavy rain storms often come and go in a few hours this time of year he said but never the ENTIRE trip. You may recall this outing was during the September 27th weekend with the record rainfall and flooding in the Portland area.....

Nestucca River Passage Project Complete

By Alan Moore

The Farmer Creek fish passage project on the Nestucca is about done. It took about 3 years to piece together the funding, design, permitting, right-of-ways and all that fun stuff. Paving was done October 4. This is a 70-foot span concrete bridge (that’s a biggun, as these things go) rated to handle loaded trucks replacing a severely undersized, completely rusted out and collapsed fish-barrier culvert on Farmer Creek, a major Nestucca spawning and rearing tributary for chinook, steelhead, coho, cutthroat and lamprey.

NEW TVTU Partner Project!!

Schedule Sunday - October 27th to be there!!!
In hopes of boosting volunteer attendance by making the travel shorter to our projects - as well as keeping projects close to our 'home' territory, the Board made an effort to locate some conservation partners right here in the Tualatin Valley.

Wednesday, October 2, 2013

Wednesday, October 9 - 6:30 p.m. at the Lucky Lab in Multnomah Village is where Tom Wolf - Oregon Chair - will discuss the 2013 legislative session. It's highs; it's lows; it's dirty little secrets! Tom will let us know how your decisions and actions helped move a few key bills into law! Looking at the listing of activity from the session on our LEGISLATIVE PAGE - there was a lot going on!

Tom will also give us some prep for 2014 - and let us know what may be coming up this next year! Stop by not only to meet Tom and see where you can direct your efforts [as well as where some of your TU monies go] but because knowing Tom there will also be a fish story or two as well....
