We received a note from our friends at the Deschutes River Alliance and wanted to pass it along; we've been a long time partner of this group and are looking forward to their continued and heightened efforts!

   

Exciting Transitions at the DRA

Dear Member of the Deschutes River Alliance Community:

In the coming months, you’ll be seeing some exciting changes at the Deschutes River Alliance. We are reorganizing to increase our focus on management for success and growth. Along with the continued growth of our science, legal, and advocacy programs, this reorganization will allow us to place an increased emphasis on public relations. DRA is making these changes to more effectively achieve our mission of protecting the Deschutes River.
 
These changes come on the heels of our Executive Director, Jonah Sandford, announcing that he will be leaving the DRA to join the Northwest Environmental Defense Center, one of the leading legal advocates for environmental issues in the Pacific Northwest.  Although we hate to see him go, we are probably as excited about this new opportunity for Jonah as the Northwest Environmental Defense Center is.  Jonah has done a tremendous job for the DRA and we know he will be successful in his new position at NEDC.
 
As we move forward in the next chapter of the DRA, our new Executive Director will be focusing on increasing our capacity in areas...

Owner/operators of Little Creek Outfitters and guide will be in the house this month during our combined meeting. That's right - believe it or not another year has passed and this is the month we gather with our friends from The Stonefly Maidens and Clackamas River TU! Come and enjoy the festivities and atmosphere of this gathering of groups!
