MARCH at TVTU??

GENERAL MEETING!
WHEN: Wednesday, March 13, 2024
WHERE: Old Market Pub; Garden Home
WHAT TIME: 7:00 p.m. [6:30 socializing!]
WHAT to EXPECT:  Bella Padgett, Habitat Specialist, Friends of TRNWR
Our Chapter has a years long relationship with TRNWR and the dedicated restoration efforts associated with our namesake 'home' river. Many of our members have spent a good amount of time volunteering with the Chapter at the refuge and you have the opportunity to learn  more - if you have ever been interested in hearing more or actually getting your hands-on experiance with a restoration project....
Bella will talk about the history of the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge and provide an overview of habitat restoration work past and future. And she will discuss our plans for a series of 2024 TVTU/TRNWR Volunteer Conservation Opportunities, not just for Christmas tree placement in Chicken Creek, but to support other Refuge restoration work, too!
WHAT TO BRING: a few bucks for a beverage and dinner from the OMP menus; throw in a few dollars for raffle tickets and your best dinnertime conversation to share with others! Don't forget to ask about volunteer opportunities and helping out on the Board of Directors!

UPCOMING MEETINGS:

10 APRIL 2024: JIM COX, Western Rivers Conservancy.

“Sometimes to Save a River You Have to Buy It.” will delve into a 35 year history of efforts by the WRC to conserve and protect lands on more than 280 rivers and streams in nine western states.
