Become a Teacher....

We received a note from long-time TVTU member Jack Morby who wanted to share a program opportunity that he is involved with - Angler Education Instructor! The program is run by ODFW and is a volunteer opportunity to share something we all enjoy - fishing in Oregon! Along with simply fishing the program strives to participants with a full range of knowledge associated with fishing - basic fishing skills, stewardship, aquatic resources and water safety. Get involved and share with others - the more people who become aware the better off the future for our sport!

When: Saturday April 2, 2016
Where: Glenn Otto Park - Sam Cox Building
What Time: 10 am to 3 pm
What to Do: *Registration Deadline - March 30 [end of business day]
What to Expect: training will be hosted by the ODFW Aquatic and Angling Education Program and is open to anyone 18 years or older interested in becoming a volunteer fishing instructor. Saturday’s training will cover all elements of program’s curriculum including basic fishing skills, stewardship, aquatic resources and water safety. Participants also will learn about events and other volunteer opportunities in their area.
