Volunteer!!

WOW!! - what a C rA ZY month of January we had! TVTU was REALLY busy collecting and staging and placing Christmas trees at our Necanicum Projects - and Doug Ray, The Man of Seaside Conservation, was named by Field & Stream as a Hero [we already knew that though! What a CHAMP!] - we hosted Field & Stream at a collection weekend to film a web video for their Hero for a Day program and our very own local celeb - Grant McOmie, with his trusty video man - Jeff Kastner - came to film the project for an upcoming show....BUT:

Sunday October 27, 2013 eight hearty volunteers of the TVTU Fix-the-Creek gang met at Derry Dell creek in Tigard to continue the work of restoring a neighborhood creek that may soon support native cutthroat. On location the team replaced invasive interloping plants with new native plantings.

In hopes of boosting volunteer attendance by making the travel shorter to our projects - as well as keeping projects close to our 'home' territory, the Board made an effort to locate some conservation partners right here in the Tualatin Valley.
