Barney Reservoir - Sunday May 16. This is a day trip to the local spot outside Yamhill so pile the tube or kayak into the car/truck and come
join the Chapter for some time on the water - that's NEXT WEEKEND!
And don't worry - if you are looking for father/family time this is a pretty easy lake to bring the offspring to! Or scout it out for that next family outing after some alone time for Fathers Day.
Head from Newberg to Yamhill on Hwy 240; in Yamhill turn right on Maple/Hwy 47 [the main intersection] - after about 5 blocks [0.3 mi] look for Pike Road to the left [next after Erica Street - there should be signs for Menefee County Park]. Continue on NW Pike Road until it becomes NW Turner Creek Road [approx. 4.7 mi] and keep following the twists and turns through farm country; just after you pass Menefee Park on the left the road will turn to gravel mainline road after about a mile - there is approximately 8 miles of gravel to the lake.
Please consider contacting Andy Andrews for directions and meet up spots or any other questions you may have! We hope to see you there.
