CAMPOUTING!
WHEN: Saturday, July 13-15, 2018
WHERE: Gold Lake - Gold Lake Campground
WHAT TIME: whenever you can make it
WHAT to EXPECT: A semi-annual jaunt to the more southern valley area - just east of Eugene, Gold Lake is a nice little barbless and motor-less body of water - the best part - monster rainbow trout! A bonus? C&R only on the rainbows. Another bonus? Brook trout can be plentiful, feisty and fulfill all your trout cravings - there are no limits on the brook trout here and the state wants you to keep them all regardless of size. Mosquitoes have been known to carry off small children so keep yours tethered to the ground and get some bug dope...

DIRECTIONS:
Go south toward Willamette Pass - before you get to Odell Lake, look
for the acute left with a FS gate - FS-500. Take that left and head
another couple of miles and it takes you by gravel road directly to the
lake.
WHAT to BRING: a float tube, bug spray and a friend if you wish!
