March at TVTU?

Days are getting longer and we can experience again the last of the waning daylight as we leave the office at the end of a day - this means the end is near! It also means our unsettled and crazy Oregon spring weather is coming - you think you've seen it all this winter? Wait until it all comes in just one day - nothing like crazy weather days in our state! The best steelhead, springer, and trout days are coming and with our snowpack this year, our waters may be good shape for time to come...until then, what are we doing? And better yet - what are YOU doing......

NEWSLETTER!
Jerry our esteemed [and retiring] newsletter editor has assembled the latest copy  - check it out and see what your chapter has going on!

GENERAL MEETING!
WHEN: Wednesday, March 8, 2017
WHERE: Lucky Lab Public House [Multnomah Village]
WHAT TIME: 6:30 p.m. [with 7:00 p.m. official program start]
WHAT to EXPECT: Ben Walczak/ODFW - Wild Steelhead Locally

Often between a  rock and a hard place, ODFW representatives often catch a load of poo for many th
ings - fish management is certainly one of them. Come and meet Ben Walczak, a hard-working assistant district fish biologist. Ben will be providing a comparative update on the Sandy and Clackamas River systems. The Sandy is ten years post dam removal with intensive large scale restoration activities; the Clackamas is seven years post dam re-licensing. What is this teaching us about winter steelhead and management actions to meet conservation goals and provide a fishery? How have these management changes altered the fisheries in both basins? And more...
WHAT to BRING: an open mind and good attitude; don't forget your handshake and introduction!
