UPDATE!

In an effort to provide an increased opportunity for member attendance at the scheduled monthly meetings, the Board recently changed the start times. We hope by doing so, members will find the opportunity to be able to commute to the meeting locations more easily while attending to professional and personal needs!

Please let us know how this works for you all - drop us a line or drop by for the meetings!

OUTINGS SCHEDULE!

May 20: Pine Hollow Reservoir near Wamic, OR. This day trip outing is a good early-season destination and provides access to both trout and warm water species.

June 5-9: Timothy Lake at North Arm Campground. The Clackamas Chapter gratefully reserved a number of camp spots early on, so members can show up and pick an empty spot or share with someone else. Fishing there does provide a good opportunity at fish over 20 inches, with a variety of hatches depending on the weather.

July 16: Clear Lake in Mt. Hood National Forest. This lake is just off Hwy. 26 on Mt. Hood. This is a day trip, and the hope is that the fishing will hold up well with the wet spring and snowpack.

August 23: Lost Lake in Mt. Hood National Forest. This Lost Lake is on the north side of Mt. Hood near Hood River. A day trip was planned in mid-week as it is a busy spot in the summer. Boats can be rented at the resort if desired. There are big rainbow here!

September 21-25: Fall River Campground in Deschutes National Forest. The Clackamas Chapter again has thankfully reserved most of the sites in advance, so those attending can pick or share a spot with the group. Bring warm clothes and sleeping gear as nights can get very cold while days are often sunny and mild. Many other close by fishing opportunities also exist.

UPCOMING BUSINESS!

New Directors to be Elected

Two persons have been nominated to fill vacant spots on the Chapter’s Board. These two candidates will be voted on at the monthly Chapter meeting at 7 p.m. on June 14 at Old Market Pub, 6959 SW Multnomah Boulevard in Portland. Members may attend the meeting live or on line.

Steve Young has been very active in TU affairs including as President at his former local chapter in Pennsylvania.

Thomas Delegarde brings years of operations, human resources and technology experience to the Chapter.
