Congratulations!!


Another successful year collecting Christmas trees for fish habitat! Thanks to all of the TVTU and CRTU volunteers as well as the great people who brought their trees back to us! Keep an eye out HERE for some info on upcoming placements projects....and again THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Numbers to be proud of:
  • Northwest Flyfishing [Jan. 4]:  130 trees
  • Royal Treatment - West Linn [Jan. 4]:  136 trees
  • Royal Treatment - West Linn [Jan. 11]:  147 trees
  • Northwest Flyfishing [Jan. 11]:  140 trees 
That is a total of 553 trees!

Thanks also to our gracious hosts for this continuing event! They help it all be possible!

WHAT TIME: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
WHAT to EXPECT: Christmas for Coho Tree Collection
 
Annual christmas tree collection - trees will be transported and used for salmonid habitat in the Clackamas River and Tualatin River basins.
NO flocked tree; NO trees with tinsel/ornaments; NO artificial trees!

Reminder....

GENERAL MEETING!
WHEN: Wednesday, January 8, 2020
WHERE: Lucky Lab Public House; Multnomah Village
WHAT TIME: 6:00 p.m.
WHAT to EXPECT: Jeff Morgan - "Winter Flyfishing for Trout"

Jeff will be discussing how winter flyfishing differs significantly in terms of ecology and presentation from "normal season" (March-October) fishing. It is not simply a function of fishing different flies, it requires an entirely different approach to the fishing experience. Both streams and stillwater techniques will be covered, with a specific focus on Oregon Cascade and Willamette Valley fisheries!
WHAT TO BRING: a few bucks for a beverage and pizza dinner; throw in a few raffle tickets and your best dinnertime conversation to share with others!
