I was recently at Diamond Lake and am still cleaning the midges out of my mouth, nose and ears. The fly of choice was a green glob of power bait on a treble hook. It worked unbeleivably for my friends, limit after limit. My choice of chrionomids, wooly buggers, emergers, leeches etc. caught four. I did find some good fly water using my "Fishing Buddy". The inlet on the southeast corner is a good choice. Also a line from the Pizza shop to the west, pretty much all the way across is 10 to 16 feet deep and showed lots of fish. Few fly fishers and a huge number of oversize jetboats, and outboards. I couldn't beleive the number of trout people had on those metal stringers. Remeniscent of the 50's outdoor mags. Have a good trip.
The Tualatin Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the Lucky Labrador Public House located at 7675 SW Capitol Hwy. Meetings begin at 6:30pm and are free and open to the public. We sponsor a wide range of program speakers, conservation efforts and club events. This blog is dedicated to sharing information about our many club activities.
