November at TVTU?

Here we go!  Diving headlong into the Holiday season - we wanted to wish you a good one now before everyone is too busy to remember what it is that is important to each of us during this time...Please enjoy yours and be safe!

GENERAL MEETING!
WHEN: Wednesday, November 12, 2014
WHERE: Lucky Lab Public House [Multnomah]
WHAT TIME: 6:30 p.m. Socializing; meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.

WHAT to EXPECT: Annual State of the Chapter meeting - including Board nominations & elections; after the official duties are handled TOM WOLF - executive director, Oregon Council Trout Unlimited - will discuss legislative updates and comment on election results including a look at TU's priorities for 2015 legislative session. He will talk about proposed 2015 ODFW budget, the search for a new ODFW Director and possibilities of ODFW reform.
WHAT to BRING: a vote, a nomination, a story, an appetite - meetings are rather informal, so put out your hand and offer a smile! Food and beverages are available for purchase - second floor banquet room.


FUN TIMES!
WHAT: Pacific Northwest Fly Tyers Rendezvous
WHEN: Saturday, November 8, 2014
WHERE: Jackson Armory [6255 NE Cornfoot Road - Portland]

WHAT TIME: 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
WHAT to EXPECT: over 40 regional tyers demonstrating flies and techniques - meet them at the bench and see first hand how they do what they do - ask any questions! Also silent benefit auctions and plenty of give-a-ways.

WHAT to BRING: 3-bucks [not the metalhead kind nor the antlered type - just plain ol' greenbacks.....oh, wait....well you get the idea - we're thinking Washington or even Eisenhower/Anthony/Sacagawea's]. It all goes to a good cause - the proceeds are 'returned' to the contributing FFACS members who in turn name a worthy cause to receive their portions. Last year TVTU donated $700 to the Salmon Watch program!
 
CONSERVATION!
WHAT: Christmas 4 Coho
WHERE: NW Flyfishing Outfitters [Portland] & Royal Treatment Fly Fishing [West Linn]

WHEN: First three weekends in January 2015
WHAT to EXPECT: This is a now annual TVTU collection project where used christmas trees are collected and turned into fish habitat - please contact Michael Ellis and sign-up for a few hours effort!
