is the lake that was lost out toward the Coast!! It is NOT the lake
lost over by Mt Hood!! DO NOT FOLLOW YOUR CAR'S COMPUTER WITHOUT LOOKING
AT WHERE YOU WILL END UP!!!]
WHAT TIME: mid-morning - around the launch or on the water....
WHAT to EXPECT:
Andy has not changed this season opening event for a number of years -
it's close, it has fish and it has some recycled hatchery steelhead to
keep you on your toes. Just be sure you find the correct lost lake -
might help to CONTACT ANDY if you are uncertain. This hidden gem is just above the Nehalem River off of Highway 26 before Camp 18.
DIRECTIONS:
drive WEST on highway 26 and turn off on the road to Henry Rierson
Spruce Run Park on the Nehalem River. Just before entering the park, a
gravel road (unsigned but known as the Lost Lake Road) takes off on the
left. This road travels 5 or 6 miles to a parking area on your right.
Just past the parking lot is an unimproved boat ramp.
WHAT to BRING: a friend or kid, your fishing pole, a floating device - whatever you want, it is really laid back experience!
