Have some weekday time to spare?

If you have some time on Thursday of next week - why not help out on Derry Dell Creek in Tigard - new Youth Outreach/Restoration Effort....

We still need some help for the April 7th workday at Derry Dell Creek. I know this is a weekday.... ...so many of you won't be able to participate, but, if you have the time to spare, please think about giving some time to this project.

When: April 7th, Thursday
Where: Derry Dell Creek, Tigard [SW Johnson St. and SW Brookside]
What Time: 9:30 a.m.

We will team up with the Cascade Education Corps crew out of Tigard High School who have also been working at Derry Dell Creek. This is the first time we will work together but these kids know how to get dirty getting the job done! The site will be the same lower Derry Dell Creek area we have worked on the past couple of years. We will meet at 9:30 AM and expect to get done around 1 PM. Park at the corner of SW Johnson St. and SW Brookside. Just bring appropriate clothes , boots, work gloves and lunch or snack. Tigard will supply the tools. We will be planting sedges and willows.

If you are interested in helping out with this work please email Mark at marwrog@gmail.com and let him know you are coming.

BTW - an additional note: Mark noted this weekend that the newly restored wetland between 107th Court and Walnut Street has a new inhabitant - a pair of nesting wood ducks has taken up residence. Thanks too the beavers who have created a bit of a pond but restoration helps at all sorts of levels!
