June at TVTU?

GENERAL MEETING!

WHAT TIME: 6:30 p.m. Socializing; meeting starts at 7:00 p.m.
WHAT to EXPECT: Andy Andrews - "A Wilderness Survival Kit for Your Car"
Andy
Andrews, TVTU outings director, will speak on Building a Survival Kit to keep in your car in case of an unexpected event. Due to Andy's many years of experience traveling the wilderness and numerous survival classes, he will demonstrate equipment and techniques he has used when things have gone wrong in his travels. And most likely share some good stories about the same...
The world of search and rescue (SAR) is much larger than most think with the Deschutes County Sheriff's office rescuing 250 to 300 people a year. They are only one government operation out of 90 that have SAR units operating in the state of Oregon.
WHAT to BRING: appetites and friends welcome! Food and beverages are available for purchase - second floor banquet room. A little cash for the raffle?

CONSERVATION:
WHEN: June 11th, Saturday
WHERE: Clackamas River [location TBD]
WHAT TIME: 9:30 a.m.
WHAT TO EXPECT: TVTU will team up with ODFW and others to male the final foray onto the Clackamas River to place the last of the C4C trees. More information will be emailed out with specifics - if you are interested please contact either Mark Rogers or the TVTU Restoration address and let him know you are coming.

CAMPOUTING!!
WHEN: June 24-26, 2016
WHAT TIME: Whenever you can show up [Andy usually is there Thursday evening]
WHAT to EXPECT: One of the biggest and most popular campouts of the season; come and join the folks from TVTU and CRTU at the North Arm of Timothy Lake for some fun and fishing relaxation.
Saturday night potluck barbecue - bring a side dish or dessert to share. Also some stories for around the campfire. If your lucky, there will be a wayward hiker or bicyclist to save and you'll live in infamy for future outings! [There is ALWAYS a story related with this event...just ask!].

WOMEN'S FLYCASTING CLINIC
WHAT: Stonefly Maidens Annual Women's Flycasting Clinic
WHERE: Blue Lake Park [Fairview, Oregon]
WHEN: June 18, 2016
TIME: 10:00 a.m.
WHAT to EXPECT: Annual ladies only casting clinic. Introductory session for beginners, this Stonefly Maiden event is a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and learn how to maneuver that wispy rod.
COST: $25.00 secures your spot for 4 hours of casting lessons and a lunch to boot!
